Founded in 1921

by William Edgar Reynolds, Reynolds Iron Works has an 90 year history in Steel, Iron, and various other forms of Metal fabrication and erection.

In its earlier years, Reynolds Iron Works was known as the Novelty Steel and Fire Escape Company and began a long journey with a focus in emergency escape systems for the fire prevention and safety industries.  It wasn't until the early 1940's that its mission and focus had changed into the wider scope of stairs, railing, and light structural steel.

Due to changing Department of Labor and Industry regulations, in 1941 Reynolds Iron Works was forced to grow and adapt. Reynolds Iron Works met this challenge.

Using the knowledge of fire escape and rail construction, Reynolds Iron Works was able to quickly transform their production facilities to enable them to take on an even larger number of jobs and to branch out into the commercial building and consumer industries by providing products that were both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

The manufacturing, fabrication and erection of fire escapes and components such as treads, railings, columns, stringers, and various types of other railings were the primary operations. Many of the fire escape components were shipped all over the country for use by other fabricators in fire escape construction.  By 1971, Reynolds Iron Works was again transforming into a provider of heavier structural steel - a step forward that would create the agile, stable, and experienced company that Reynolds Iron Works remains today.

Quickly rising as a leader in the miscellaneous steel and structural steel industries, Reynolds Iron Works continues to update and upgrade its facility.  With the recent addition of two new buildings and larger office facilities, Reynolds Iron Works is ready to continue its growth to meet the needs of the constantly growing structural steel fabrication industries.

At Reynolds, we take pride in our history, and we take pride in our role as a leader in providing diverse service. We provide all types of structural steel fabrication such as beams, columns, trusses, plate fabrication, tanks and miscellaneous steel fabrication such as all types of stairs, railings, ladders and more, all available in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Today Reynolds Iron Works remains committed as ever to its position as an industry leader in the manufacturing and fabrication of all types of steel products for use in commercial, institutional and residential construction.
